Thanks for the update. Super glad things went well, and glad you're home and resting. Take Keri's advice and take it easy, no matter how tempted you may be to be up and around. So glad things went well!!

I did not bleed at all. Did you have the robot do it? I was not sure what type you were having? I do not think it is typical to bleed I would be concerned if you start to bleed. That would mean something else maybe wrong. Call your docs office today and check but I know I had no bleeding and that is why my doc used the DaVinci Robot because women do not experience as much blood loss during and after surgery. Glad you are doing well! How are you doing with eating? It is still taken me awhile to get back to solids. I eat soup atleast once a day if not more. My tummy hurts when I try to eat solids.

im not sure how he did it. The only time i seen him was yesterday at 830 am when he told me i was going home. I was eating solid foods an hour after surgery. My tummy hurts and i feel like getting sick. All im doing is walking around my house but wondering if thats to much? Is it normal for lungs to hurt a bit as well as my neck? Ive heard thats from the gas and will go away with time

I would find out how he did it. Do you have a few small incisions or a large one? The neck and lungs hurting are prob from the gas and that does go away in time. Walking is good but try not to do steps and wear your binder did they give you one? The binder helps suck it all in it is uncomfortable but I am still wearing mine for support.

i have 3 smaller incisions. unfortunately i cant avoid stairs, the bedrooms in my house are up 14 of them but its helping to relieve the neck and lung pain when im walking a bit. Im not using a binder no, ive never heard of it. What is it for?

omg the pain is awful. Keri, i dont know how you are recovering without meds? It seems like i just want to sleep. I wanted a Tim Hortons french vanilla cappuccino so bad, my husband offered to go for me on his way home from work but i insisted he come get me first so i could go with him. Big mistake

Awww honey take it easy! If you want to sleep then you need to sleep. Take your pain meds when you need them. No sense in going without pain meds if you can take them. I have a very high tolerance for pain and can not take meds so that is how I did it. Drink lots of water and eat well. In a few days you will be amazed how you feel. You are in the first stages of post op it takes time. Oh and the binder helps suck it all in and support you when you are up walking. You can prob get one at a drug store or ask your doctor. They have them on the hystersisters site if you want to order it on- line. http://www.hystersisters.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16265&cat=0&page=1 http://www.hystersisters.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16139&cat=0&page=1

Thanks Keri...thats what my husband keeps telling me. I honestly didnt think it would be like this. I've had surgery before and felt fine a few days later. This may be a little different because it was a longer surgery plus they took 2 things out of me. I just cant wait to feel better. Mt son has a hockey game on Saturday that im hoping to be able to watch

3 days post op and not feeling so bad. The pain in my neck and lungs has almost disappeared. I feel warm tho but no fever. Got the lovely swelly belly of coarse and the gas is awful. Im looking around at my house thinking "would it really hurt to clean it"? I cant wait till my mom gets here on Sunday

Glad things are going okay. And yes, it just may hurt to clean your house. Don't do too much. You only get one chance to heal properly. Try to take it easy and let people help you. And if things around the house aren't exactly how they normally are, don't worry about it, I'm sure no one will notice and they know you have just had surgery and can't do much. I had my mom coming to clean for me for 6 weeks as I couldn't do any of it. My husband's idea of clean is a lot different than mine, so it was nice to have someone here to help out. And like my mom said, there will probably come a day that I will need to help her too. That's what family is for.

Thanks Lassy. My mom is coming tomorrow and i dont want her to think we live in filth. Mt husbands idea of cleaning is alot different from mine as well. He lives on pop and snax and since Tuesday, thats what has consumed his side of the bed. My husband has never washed a dish in his life so i now have a sink full of them. My belly is hurting quite a bit today and all i did was clean off my bedside table and picked up the cat poop that was around the litter box. We have a 5 month old kitten that is afraid to actually poop inside the box. That cant be overduing it can it?

I found bending over very difficult. It took me a long time to be able to just bend over, let alone pick something up. Just make sure you listen to your body. If you're sore after, it's probably a good sign it is too much to be doing just yet. It's funny how the simplest things can seem so difficult after surgery. Don't you have kids old enough to look after the cat poop? Take care of yourself and don't be afraid to ask for help. It won't be too long and you'll be feeling as good as new, and if you're like me, better than before!
